Lumitrend was founded in 2002 with a mission to protect the valuable content on mobile devices and enrich the mobile user experience through simple and intuitive products. As one of the first certified BREW developers, Lumitrend saw a growing demand for content on the phone and a salient void for a simple solution to protect that valuable data. Capitalizing on their early mobile experience, they sought out to build a common platform where all data could be managed and seamlessly transferred between any type of phone regardless of vendor or operating system. After more than a year of intense R&D, Lumitrend launched their Mobile Solutions Platform (MSP).

The Platform enables Lumitrend to quickly overcome the complex challenges formed by lack of standards and unique, phone specific issues. With the Platform, Lumitrend has developed core competencies in accessing mobile content, managing / formatting data and properly delivering that content to the phone. With MSP, Lumitrend has developed and launched CellBackup, CellSynx and Ringvault and has distribution on nearly 30 carriers throughout the world.
